Josh Peterson, LCSW

Josh is a licensed psychotherapist with a master of social work degree from the
University of Wisconsin-Madison. Josh has been working in the mental health field as a
case manager, supervisor and psychotherapist since 2006.
Working in County- and State-funded mental health agencies, and the Madison VA Hospital, Josh has experience working with teens and adults facing a variety of struggles: depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, borderline and narcissistic personality disorders, schizophrenia, trauma, self-harm and suicidal thoughts, relationship challenges and addictions.
Josh uses a predominantly Person-Centered Therapy model to come alongside clients in discovering the healing potential that lies in their hope in Christ and their image-bearing desire to grow in Christ. Josh incorporates in his approach aspects of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
