Therapeutic Programs Offered- Specific Issues

 

Anger Management
This program is for anyone who would like to learn healthy ways to manage and express their anger. This program will also help you identify and address the impact anger has in physical, mental, emotional, relational, and spiritual ways. The group therapy format is available in two sections: one group for adults and one for adolescents and/or young adults.

 

 

Forgiveness
Often, we are unjustly hurt by others, even those who are closest to us. This program helps participants explore and journey through the process of forgiving such offenses. Any person who has experienced interpersonal hurt will benefit from this program.

 

 

Grief, Loss and Transition
This program is designed to promote healing and growth by helping adults understand and address the various implications of any loss, trauma, or transition they or someone they care about may have experienced. This group offers an opportunity to join with and support others while learning about and dealing with the many stages of grief, loss and transition. The group therapy format is available in two sections: one group for adults and one for adolescents and/or young adults.

 

 

Women’s Wellness (Depression & Anxiety)
This program focuses on how to move beyond being a victim of depression/anxiety to prevailing over it. Thinking techniques based on scriptures are taught to help individuals make specific behavioral changes and begin the recovery process.

 

 

Recovery from Depression / Anxiety Group
This group teaches thinking techniques based on the scriptures to help individuals choose life-long happiness, make specific behavioral changes and begin the recovery process from depression and anxiety.

 

 

Christ- Centered Depression Treatment Group (For Women Only)
This group is geared toward women struggling with depression who are interested in growing spiritually and relationally in a caring therapeutic context.  Participants will learn to gain control over their depressive symptoms through a variety of empirically-validated techniques including mindfulness, cognitive behavioral strategies, relaxation training, stress management, and relationship building, while gaining self-awareness through therapeutic intervention and the support of other women experiencing similar struggles.

 

 

Drug and Alcohol Group

The Center offers AODA treatment groups for individuals struggling with alcohol and drug use.
